We warmly invite the scientific community to join us for the 8th World Symposium on Software Engineering (WSSE 2026), taking place in Nara, Japan, from October 16-18. Sponsored by Nara Women's University, Hiroshima University, Science and Engineering Institute, co-sponsored by Kindai University, Wuhan University, the University of Houston-Downtown, and Huaqiao University, with technical support from the University of Houston-Clear Lake, University of North Dakota, Chongqing University of Posts and Telecommunications, etc.

Publication and indexing:
1. Proceedings
All the papers will be peer reviewed by experts. The review result comes out in 15 to 20 days. Accepted, registered and presented papers will be published in the ACM Conference Proceedings, which will be submitted for indexing to Ei Compendex, Scopus, and others.
WSSE conference proceedings have been successfully indexed by Scopus and EI since 2019.
2. Special Issue
Software (ISSN 2674-113X) Special Issue "Software Reliability, Security and Quality Assurance"
Delegates are encouraged to submit their papers/abstracts to the conference. Good quality papers will be selected by the organizing committee and Prof. Dr. Tadashi Dohi, the editor. After it, the authors will be invited to extent their papers/abstracts and submit them to the special issue.
