Submission Guide: Scopus vs. EI vs. SSCI

  1. For "Pure" Economics: Target EBES or ICOAE. These conferences are published by Springer and have a very high likelihood of Scopus indexing. They rarely get into EI Compendex because EI focuses on engineering.

  2. For "Fintech/Quant": If you need EI Compendex, you must submit to IEEE CIFEr. Traditional economics conferences will not help you here; you need a conference that treats finance as an engineering/computational problem.

  3. For SSCI (Journal Impact): Be careful. Many conferences claim "SSCI Journal Support," but this usually means they will recommend the top 5-10% of papers to a journal for a fresh round of review. It is not guaranteed. AMEF 2026 (Greece) has a strong track record of successful special issues if your paper is high quality.
